The future of our Dessert Hot Sauce

We’ve made a decision on our Dessert Hot Sauce. But first, a little history. Because we’re not new to this, we’ve been making hot sauces for desserts forever. Sometimes they’ve torn your faces off. Sometimes you’ve discovered they’re great with other things too.
Since 2020, we’ve been creating a yearly sauce called Buy Ice Cream. A simple idea. To create a “dessert sauce gone wrong”. Inspired by sweet sauces dished out by ice cream vans and food joints, we decided to next level things. The first version of our hot dessert sauce actually happened a couple of years before 2020. Back before there was even a sauce co at all.
The first 3 years, we made some scorching hot sauces. Some had a fruit base, some had a chocolate base. We made that chocolate ourselves btw.
But this concept didn't actually begin in 2020. It happened a couple of years previous. And so, in 2023, we took inspiration from our original dessert sauce. We made a hot raspberry sauce, harking all the way back to the beginning.
It was around 2018 where we terrorised the Brewdog staff party. We served up scoops of ice cream dressed in our raspberry reaper drizzle at the "Chaos Convention". There were casualties that day. Some of them high profile if you get me.
Each year, Buy Ice Cream sold out at speed. Those in the know look out for it.
So we have a history. So what? Let’s point towards the future instead.
From 2024, Buy Ice Cream will move out of general sale. Hold that sad face. It's moving to its natural home of our Prototype Club subscription. It is an experimental and unhinged sauce after all. It’s coming home.
So as we write this in September 2024, Prototype Club members will now realise. There is only one prototype box left to come this year, in November. You’re going to snag a bottle of the 2024 vintage. And we’ve gone berserk with it.
There’s no point tip-toeing around this. If you’re not a member of Prototype Club by the time we close this current round of intake, you’re going to miss out. There is still time to join the most innovative hot sauce subscription there is though. Be one of us and prepare for pudding season.
